Favourtie boobie

So it's official River man has a favourite boob, i don't really understand it and i find it just a little bit frustrating.

Over the past 2 weeks or so he's been a bit funny with the left boob, coming on and off and just generally being a little fussy pants. However as soon as i burp him and offer the right boob on he goes no questions asked and he stays on for a good feed.

I thought it might just be a little phase he was going through, but last night sealed the deal. I started him on his not so favourite boob mrs lefty and he had a feed for about 2 mins then came off crying, i gave him a minute to compose himself then tried the left again, and again he came off crying. I burped him and gave him another go, and again crying, so i offered mrs righty and he went straight on and had a good feed. After about half an hour he had pretty much drained his favourite boob so again i offered the left one and as soon as i switched him round he just started to grizzle and fuss. Very frustrating. This carried on for about another 20 mins while i tried to get him to take the left boob, i eventually gave up and put him back on the drained right boob where it took him about another half an hour to get full.

At first i thought it might have something to do with the fast let down or the boob being to full, but this morning i expressed 120ml from the left side then went in and fed River and the same thing happened.

It's all a bit frustrating feed time never used to be a problem, but over these last weeks with this preference to one side its become a bit tedious. He eventually gets full and goes off to sleep fine, but its the battle of the left boob that is frustrating. I wonder if he'll grow out of it? I don't know, i suppose at the end of the day he is getting full (eventually) even if it does take a little longer and thats the main thing.

Oh the mysteries of babies!
